Dulce Vasquez is a Los Angeles-based civic leader, policy strategist, content creator, and six-time marathoner exploring policy, culture, and what it means to build a life well lived.

Born in Mexico and raised in the United States, Dulce's experience as a formerly undocumented, first-generation Latina has shaped her understanding of opportunity, belonging, and the power of education to transform lives.

A graduate of Northwestern University, Dulce earned her Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her career has spanned higher education, public affairs, media, and civic leadership, with a focus on expanding educational opportunity, strengthening communities, and connecting people and institutions to create meaningful change.

Today, she serves as an Assistant Vice President at Arizona State University, where she works at the intersection of education, government, business, and community engagement. She previously served as a Los Angeles City Commissioner and was a candidate for Los Angeles City Council in 2022 and the California State Assembly in 2024.

But Dulce's story extends well beyond politics and professional accomplishments. As a creator and storyteller, she brings a distinctly Angeleno perspective to conversations about how our communities work—and how they could work better. Her content moves effortlessly between city government and housing policy, museums and cultural institutions, travel adventures, running, fashion, and the people and places worth knowing.

Whether she's explaining a complicated policy issue, sharing good news to start the weekend, exploring a new city, or training for another marathon, Dulce approaches her work with curiosity, humor, and a belief that the world becomes more interesting when we pay attention to it.

Her work reflects the multidimensional lives of women who are ambitious, informed, adventurous, and unapologetic about finding joy. She believes that caring about politics doesn't mean every conversation needs to be political, and that building a meaningful life requires making space for culture, community, personal growth, and new experiences.

Through her digital platforms, Dulce invites her audience to ask better questions, challenge assumptions, discover something new, and engage with the world around them. Her storytelling is rooted in lived experience, informed by public policy, and driven by a genuine interest in the people and stories that shape our communities.

At the heart of it all is a simple philosophy: We can care deeply about the world, work to make it better, and still enjoy the life we're building.
